Terms of Service

By using HouseBrief, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

HouseBrief lets you store household information (profiles, cards) and share that information with people you choose (handoffs). The service is provided by Deston Evans, a sole proprietor in Virginia, USA.

You're responsible for the accuracy of information you enter. You're responsible for keeping your phone number secure (since SMS sign-in is the authentication method). You must be 18 or older to create an account.

You agree NOT to use HouseBrief to:

• Send harassing, threatening, or unwanted communications
• Share information about people who haven't agreed to be referenced
• Attempt to circumvent security or rate limiting
• Use the service for commercial bulk messaging
• Send messages that violate carrier policies (TCPA, CAN-SPAM, A2P 10DLC requirements)

You're responsible for ensuring that recipients you add to handoffs have agreed to receive communications from you about household arrangements you've personally arranged with them.

HouseBrief sends SMS messages via Twilio's A2P 10DLC-registered campaign.

• Message frequency: varies based on your activity (typically 0–3 messages per handoff)
• Message and data rates may apply (charged by recipient's carrier)
• Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to opt out of all messages.

• Recipients of HouseBrief SMS messages can opt out at any time by replying STOP. The opt-out applies to all future HouseBrief messages.

HouseBrief currently has a free tier and may introduce paid features. Pricing and terms for paid features will be presented before purchase. All sales final unless required by law.

You retain ownership of household information you create in HouseBrief. By using the service, you grant HouseBrief a limited license to store and transmit that information to recipients you specify. The HouseBrief brand, code, and design are owned by Deston Evans.

HouseBrief is provided "as is" without warranties. We make no guarantees about uptime, message delivery, or accuracy. SMS delivery depends on carrier networks outside our control.

HouseBrief is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the prior 12 months (or $0 if you're on the free tier).

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA.
